What's Up for NYE in Niagara?

If you are still thinking of something to do for New Years Eve, there's lots going on in Niagara to check out.

St. Catharines is ringing in the New Year with a free skate and swim. The Meridian Centre hosts the skate on Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. while over at the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre families can take a dip from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Also a reminder: St. Catharines Transit will be offering extended hours on New Years Eve with buses running until 2 a.m.

Hopping onto the bus will be free after 8 p.m.

Meanwhile in Welland, it's the 17th annual Children's New Year's Eve bash featuring a glow in the dark skate at the Welland Main Arena. There will also be fun and games at the Welland Community Wellness Complex from 4 - 6 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. That's also a free event.

Fireworks will be set off along the canal at 5:50 p.m.

Over in Port Colborne the festivities kick off at 2 p.m. at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre.

They are offering skating, swimming, and mad science shows as well as fireworks behind the Vale Centre at 6 p.m.

And of course if you want to get your country soul filled, check out Jess Moskaluke and James Barker Band at Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls, starting at 8pm

Have a fun and safe NYE, chat into 2018!
