The Niagara Health Hepatitis C Care Clinic Team has announced that it will be hosting 2 community awareness events in 2023. All communities across Canada are working together to eliminate hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030. The Niagara Team will be hosting it’s inaugural “Canadian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Day” from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. on Thursday, May 11, at a venue to be announced in Niagara Falls, to raise awareness of hepatitis, liver health and the care and services of the program. The event will encourage individuals to learn about hepatitis testing and immunizations. In addition event attendees will learn about the care and treatment for hepatitis C.
Meanwhile, the Clinic’s World Hepatitis Day event will take place on Friday, July 28th from 11 a.m. to 3 pm at Montebello Park in St. Catharines, raising awareness of hepatitis, how to receive testing, liver health and the care and services of the program.
