Keep the shovels and snowblowers handy. North Niagara is now under a Snowfall Warning from Environment Canada, while a Winter Weather Travel Advisory has been issued for the southern part of the Region. The agency says total accumulations of 10 to 15 cms are possible on Friday, with local snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cms possible over higher terrain. Visibility may be reduced at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow. The snow is expected to begin Friday morning and taper off late Friday evening. The evening commute is expected to be greatly affected by the snowfall, and Environment Canada says rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
