Niagara Parks will welcome the Ride for Roswell, a cross-border cycling event that supports the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York this Saturday, June 24. The Ride for Roswell has 9 routes, covering 12 municipalities and spanning two countries. The Niagara route will bring approximately 750 cyclists across the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie; the cyclists will then continue north along the Niagara Parkway to cross back into the U.S. via the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, Ontario. To help facilitate the route through Queen Victoria Park, the following temporary road closures will be in place:
Saturday, June 24
A single curbside lane closure of the northbound lanes of the Niagara Parkway from Upper Rapids Boulevard to Clifton Hill will be in place from 5 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A full closure of all northbound lanes of the Niagara Parkway from Table Rock to Murray Street will also be in place from 5 a.m. until 11 a.m. All northbound traffic in this area will be diverted to the southbound lanes, which will operate in an opposing traffic pattern.
Please note that these lane closures may cause some traffic delays. Niagara Parks’ WEGO bus service will continue without disruption.
