A 2-all third period home opener turned into a 5-2 London victory over the IceDogs Saturday night. Back to back power-plays would lead to the game winning and insurance goals.
Down one after one on a Knights power-play marker, the Dogs would get things even in the middle period. Mike Levin would victimize his former team at 4:10, with help from Artem Frolov and Danill Sobolev. A little over 7 minutes later, Gavin Bryant’s goal gave the IceDogs a 2-1 advantage. Assists went to Ryan Rooobroeck and Mike Podolioukh. One more from the visitors tied the score before the 40 minute break.
London had the shots edge 37-25 overall.
The next IceDogs action is Thursday night as Mississauga comes to the Meridian Centre. Niagara’s New Country 89.1 will have all the action, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45.
