Niagara Regional Police Services Board has appointed a pair of new Deputy Chiefs.
Todd Waselovich and Luigi Greco have both been appointed to the new role. Both are 25-year-members of Niagara Police, and have worked in a number of roles within the police service.
Deputy Chief Waselovich has served in several positions, including Uniform Frontline Patrol, Detective Services, Special Investigative Services, Emergency Services, Labour Relations, Professional Development, and, most recently as the Superintendent of Emergency and Investigative Services.
He is a designated Critical Incident Commander and is provincially recognized as an expert in law enforcement collaborating with partners to combat the fentanyl and opioid crisis.
Meantime, Deputy Chief Greco has most recently served as the Superintendent of Executive Services, and in 2019 was the recipient of the Police Exemplary Service Medal.
Board Chair Jen Lawson says their proven dedication and commitment to public safety will serve the community, and its residents, well.
A introduction ceremony will take place at a later date, which has yet to be announced.
