The GOJHL’s Golden Horseshoe Conference Championship is now a best-of-3 series.
The Fort Erie Meteors defeated the Caledonia Corvairs 3-2 on Wednesday night at the Fort Erie Leisureplex, in front of over 1600 fans.
Kyle Adamo scored his second goal of the evening for the Meteors to give them the lead 11:43 into the third period, as they held off the top-seeded Corvairs. Liam Beamish scored the tying goal for Fort Erie in the second period, while goaltender Charlie Burns made 25 saves in the winning effort.
For Caledonia, goal scorers included Dylan Wardell and Sami Douglas, while Finn Wilson made 27 saves in defeat.
In a quick turnaround, the two teams meet again tonight in Caledonia for Game 5, before Game 6 on Saturday night in Fort Erie. If needed, Game 7 would be in Caledonia Monday.
