Niagara’s Walk to End ALS is happening this weekend in St. Catharines.
The event marks the largest community fundraiser for ALS research, advocacy, and support services, and will take place on Saturday at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre at Lock 3.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by the walk at 10:30 a.m. along the Canal path.
Every year, around 1,000 Canadians are diagnosed with ALS, and another 1,000 succumb to the disease.
