That’s how much money was raised this year at the ‘Birchway Book Riot’, which will in turn result in 45 new shelter beds being built at their location in south Niagara.
Organizers say roughly 5000 people visited the 45th edition of the fundraiser at the Gale Centre over the weekend, while money raised will also support domestic violence recovery programs.
Donations of books and games for next years event will open next month.
