The City of Welland is helping residents get their December water bills on time, despite a Canada Post strike.
Starting this week, UPS Welland will hand-deliver approximately 5,600 water bills directly to mailboxes – in hopes of avoiding late fees that would’ve been brought on by the postal strike.
The delivery process will take place over the next week, and residents are encouraged to monitor their mailboxes or the front entry areas in their buildings.
If a bill has not been received by December 18, residents should contact the City’s Finance Department.
