The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is advising that there will be temporary Welland Canal bridge closures to vehicle and pedestrian traffic next week. The Alanburg Bridge on Highway 20 in Thorold will be closed on Wednesday, April 10th from 9AM to 4PM, and the Homer Bridge in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be closed on Thursday, April 11th from 9AM until noon. The Seaway says it will do everything possible to to minimize any inconvenience to the public while preventative maintenance is performed on the bridges.
