The Niagara Regional Police Service’s Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation in December of last year into the trafficking of a person over the age of 18 years. Three male suspects were identified to be involved in the investigation. On Thursday , 47 year old Wasim Ahmed of Maple and 61 year old Mohammad Arshad Ghummian of Mississauga were arrested by Human Trafficking Detectives.They both face several charges. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives suspect there may be more victims.
