Don’t veer for deer.
That’s a common message from the OPP, and one they are stressing yet again as reports are coming of in deer sprinting across the road in the area with the warm weather finally here.
Constable Andrew Gamble says one key thing to know is, if you are driving and see one deer crossing the road, keep that foot near the brakes.
He adds that if you see a deer, you should be staying in your own lane – even if that means you may hit it.
Deer can be seen across more rural areas of the Niagara Region.
