The Rankin Cancer Run has seen thousands of people take part since starting in 2006, and the run has seen some changes as well.
Run Director Mary Ann Edwards says the decision to move virtual was a big one, but it was in part because the event was outgrowing its space.
Edwards says the despite not being an in-person event, the enthusiasm of the run has not been curbed.
She adds that the run is more accessible as a virtual event, as people can take part when they can, instead of having to gather on a single day. To date, the Run has raised and distributed over $11.8-million to cancer-care organizations across the Region. You can register for the run here.
