It was a great weekend for the Welland Jackfish, who continued their hot streak with a pair of games against the Guelph Royals.
On Saturday, the Jackfish travelled to Guelph and picked up an emphatic 14-6 win, before returning home on Sunday for a Father’s Day matchup.
Greyson Barrett drove in three runs on two hits for Welland, who has extended their winning streak to eight games. Brandon Hupe had two RBI of his own, while Tyler Dupuis and Ethan Hunt each recorded one RBI.
Ben Abram struck out 10 batters in seven innings for the win, as he improves to a perfect 4-0 on the season.
Next action for the Jackfish is Friday evening in London against the Majors, before returning home Saturday for a 6:05 start against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
