Kristen Kit and her Rowing 8s team will have a chance to win another gold medal.
The women’s 8s team qualified for the Olympic final early this morning, after finishing second in repechage earlier this morning in Paris.
The squad, led by St. Catharines’ coxswain Kristen Kit, won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and finished third in their heat earlier this week, behind Australia and Great Britain. In repechage, they finished behind only the US team, with a time of 6:04.81.
The finals is Saturday morning at 4:20am EST.
