The Niagara River Lions are holding on of their most popular offseason events this month, the annual Breakfast with Dunkin & Friends.
While their season on the hardcourt doesn’t kick off until May, President Michelle Biskup says it’s important for the team to stay present in the community during the offseason.
Funds from the breakfast will go towards the ‘Stubs for Cubs’ program, which gives hundreds of underprivileged children and families the ability to attend games. She says this program is one that’s been embraced since it was introduced.
Anyone interested in the initiative can find more through the River Lions’ website.
Biskup adds that giving back to those who may not have the opportunity to attend games otherwise is part of building the fanbase of the future in the Niagara Region.
The event will be held February 17th at Central Community Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Tickets for the general public are $10 per person, while the cost for season ticket holders is $5. Those interested in attending can register here.
