Niagara-on-the-Lake Town Council has extended the Temporary Patio Program until December 31, 2025, allowing restaurants to continue offering outdoor seating.
Originally introduced during the pandemic, the program was set to expire on February 28, 2025.
The extension provides time to finalize a permanent Seasonal Patio Program, with an Applicant Guide already in development.
Applications for 2025 patio permits will open soon, though new patios on Queen Street remain on pause, with only renewals being considered.
