Fort Erie Town Council has approved the 2025 budget, with a 4.95% increase in the town’s portion of residential property taxes.
That means an extra $6.12 per month for the median household.
When factoring in Niagara Region and education levies, homeowners will see a total increase of $19.40 per month.
The nearly $37-million Operating Budget funds key services, new staffing positions, and infrastructure investments, while the $26-million Capital Budget includes 66 projects, such as road upgrades, park improvements, and new tech for Town Council Chambers.
