This event will kick off our annual Spring It Forward Food Drive and provide details on what to expect surrounding our food drive dates May 1st - May 8th. We wanted to give our media partners this first glimpse at what’s to come and have a leg up with spreading the news! Last year we collaborated on this event and it significantly impacted our community. We hope to have your support once again! As a reminder, last year we raised 10,000lbs of food and $22,000 in just 1 week!

After 2 years of covid and a fire at the school , this is the first major drama production for the kids in over 3 years. They've worked so hard building sets, props (even welding a car!) to bring this show to life. Many kids are graduating, and this is their only chance to major drama production in their high-school years.

Floras walk aims to improve perinatal mental l health care and establish a national perinatal mental health strategy. May is Maternal Mental Health Month, and it’s the 3rd Annual Flora’s Walk Fundraiser for Perinatal Mental Health! Led by the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative. Perinatal refers to the period of time from conception and up to a year after giving birth. Flora’s walk is named after Flora Babakhani, a Canadian mom who tragically lost her life due to undiagnosed postpartum psychosis. Flora’s Walk aims to improve perinatal mental health care and establish a National Perinatal Mental Health Strategy in Canada. There are over 50+ walks happening across Canada. 75% of the funds raised will stay here in Niagara to fund a low/no cost program Maternal Health Niagara created called “Flora’s Gift” that will help those with limited or no benefits access timely care. Tens of thousands of Canadians struggle with perinatal mental illness. When you support Flora’s Walk Niagara you are helping us provide families in our community access to perinatal mental health care and will also be helping to break down the stigma and share a vision of healing, hope and honouring Flora. In addition to our stroller friendly walk we will also be hosting a vendor marketplace with the businesses and organizations from across Niagara, a penny raffle table and joining us as a food vendor, Fireside Drive Food Truck. Marc Jordan & Amy Sky … Together in Concert is, in short, magical! Two much-loved and respected, multiple award-winning Canadian singer-songwriters fuse their individual talents to create a spellbinding evening of entertainment. As Canadian broadcaster Ross Porter wrote, “If music is doing its job, one of its functions is to act as a salve to the troubled times in our lives. Marc performs … with so much affection and imagination, the mission is accomplished.” The very same can be said of Amy.
Throughout the evening, aside from their wry humour and anecdotes spanning 36 years of marriage, each will perform a generous sampling of their own hits … for example, Amy’s I Will Take Care of You, Til You Love Somebody and Love, Pain and the Whole Damn Thing, and Marc’s Marina Del Rey, Tears of Hercules and, of course, his worldwide #1 hit Rhythm of My Heart. Nonetheless, the real magic comes when Marc and Amy sing together – the melody intertwined with innovative and unexpected harmonies – his smoky, jazz-tinged voice comes in above her gutsy, gravelly alto, next phrase they weave around each other, and Amy is soaring over Marc, so deliciously evident in songs like Long Shot and Free Fallin’ from their critically acclaimed Juno nominated album He Sang, She Sang. For this series of concerts, they will be joined by a group of outstanding musical friends under the direction of renowned producer/composer and keyboardist Lou Pomanti.
Marc Jordan & Amy Sky … Together in Concert! ... the whole is, indeed, greater than the sum of its parts.
Reserved seating tickets are $71.50 (HST & facility fee included, handling surcharges may apply), and are available from the box offices listed below. Showtime is 7:30pm. For more info, pics and music clips, visit www.shantero.com www.marcjordan.com or www.amysky.com
