I Like It, I Love It! Our feature where we ask for recommendations based on a weekly theme! This week’s theme is “kitchen essentials”. We had many great recommendations! Check them out:
Tracey – “I love my immersion stick blender. I use it to puree soups, mix pancake batter, whip up yorkshire pudding, etc. It’s not big/bulky or expensive and it’s a cinch to clean compared to a blender or food processor.”
Danika – “Mix and Mash by Pampered Chef – It’s excellent to break up ground meat in the frying pan. One of my favourite utensils!!”
Michelle – “I would definitely recommend a kitchen aid ultra power mixer…. baking couldn’t be made any easier”
Jayne – “I highly recommend the pampered chef jar opener. I have not had a jar I can’t open with it yet and it is easy to use with no moving parts so I expect it ‘to last forever.”
Tiffany – “Ceramic blade knife from dollarama ! Best thing ever. Cuts through anything beautifully ! Everyone should have one”
Nicole – “Toaster oven. Our most used kitchen item. We use it several times every day, from simply toasting bread to baking and roasting small batches. We don’t even own a toaster.”
Debbie – “Parchment paper. Use it and you have minimal clean up. Great for cooking on, lining cookware, cutting meat etc. Makes cleanup a breeze.”
Laura – “A good sharp knife. Nothing is worse than trying to cut anything with a dull knife. A sharp knife makes ya feel like a chef (even if your not).”
Mike – “Since I discovered the Hot Dog Slicer my life has never been easier.”
Carly – “My pampered chef garlic press and my kitchen aid professional mixer I use them daily!”
Sandy – “Have to say its my Le Creuset Cast Iron Skillet. Great for searing meat, doing stir-frying , fajita’s and can go from stove top to oven if you want to bake something after searing.”
Allison – “Honestly a plastic 8 cup measuring cup, it has so many uses in our house, it’s a mixing bowl, popcorn bowl, watering can for the plants and Christmas tree, the puke bucket when we younger”
Dorie – “I love my StarFrit slicer for slicing onions. I put sliced onions in so many dishes and it makes it a breeze without making the eyes water.”
Michelle – “In love with my instant pot! Cooking times drop tremendously especially when I work 12 hr night shifts. Always have time to cook a good meal in less the time and it cooks meat from frozen! Use it everyday!”
Lesley – “Keurig! Need that cup of coffee first thing in the morning!!”
Steph – “FoodSaver (vacuum sealer).. wouldn’t live without one now..”
Rebecca – “My rock pot/pan set, cuisinart waffle maker, mini artisan kitchen aid mixer (in matte grey), lagostina stainless steel 10” pan, my grandmothers chopper (doesn’t even have a label on it), the new k-latte…and I’m just getting started”
