Now three weeks out from a total solar eclipse in the area, the Town of Fort Erie has taken some precautions leading into the event.
A number of things will be closed on April 8th including Fort Erie Town Hall, Crystal Beach Waterfront Park, Fort Erie Public Library branches and all boat ramps.
Boating is also being highly discouraged by the town, while illegal camping and parking will be strictly enforced. There will also be a fire ban in effect from Friday, April 5th to Tuesday, April 9th.
