Smile Cookies are back this week, and in Niagara, buying them could help a number of charities.
One of the beneficiaries of Smile Cookies locally is Port Cares. Christine Clark Lafleur says there’s a number of ways the money can be used.
Another local recipient is Autism Ontario’s Niagara branch. Janine O’Brien says for them, a lot of the funds raised will support their summer camp program locally.
The Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara also sees a cut of some Smile Cookie money this year. Bobbie-Jo White says it’ll help them support those in the region with Alzheimer’s, which is an ever-growing population.
Project Share’s Jessica Taylor says they also get a cut of Smile Cookies donations, as it’s something that’ll go a long way for them with increasing need.
The cookies are on sale at Tim Hortons until May 5th, with all proceeds going to charity.
