More charges have been laid in connection to an incident on Sunday in Welland.
As previously reported, 38-year-old James Hellam was charged after an alleged hit and run in a parking lot, which resulted in him threatening police officers with a knife, bat and gun, according to police.
After his arrest, a search was done of the State Street home and detectives seized a replica firearm, a knife, a baseball bat and a bolt action .22 rifle.
As a result he’s facing 11 total charges ranging from uttering threats to assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
