Police have arrested and charged a 39-year-old Hamilton woman after a stolen vehicle was stopped using a spike belt in Grimsby.
On Sunday around 3 p.m., an officer from the Burlington OPP Niagara Detachment on patrol in the Windward Avenue area, identified the stolen white Subaru Impreza using Automatic Licence Plate Recognition technology.
The vehicle initially failed to stop, nearly hitting the officer, and later struck another vehicle after fleeing from a spike belt.
Niagara Regional Police located the stolen vehicle and arrested the driver, who is identified as Linsay Oak. She now faces multiple charges.
