Niagara Regional Police responded to Greater Niagara General Hospital after an adult male arrived with severe injuries from a suspected assault.
Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to a hospital outside the region for specialized care.
On January 26, the investigation led police to a location on Buckley Avenue in Niagara Falls.
That same day, 44-year-old Blair Young was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
On Friday January 31, NRPS were notified that the male succumbed to his injuries.
On Wednesday, February 5, Young made an additional appearance in court and was charged with second degree murder.
