A multi-agency investigation into two bank robberies in the Niagara Region led to the arrest of 52-year-old Alan Haaksma of Oakville.
The Toronto Police Hold Up Squad, working with police units from Peel, Halton, Hamilton, Guelph, and Niagara, identified and located the suspect who was taken into custody on February 26.
Haaksma was charged with two counts of robbery related to incidents in Niagara on February 25.
He remains in custody at an out-of-jurisdiction facility.
