NPCA crews planting trees in Thorold.
The City of Welland is ramping up tree-planting initiatives through the Trees for All program in partnership with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
Funded by Natural Resources Canada’s 2 Billion Trees program, this effort will boost biodiversity, improve watershed health, and enhance climate resilience.
Additionally, Welland will take part in a native seed collection program to support future reforestation.
