Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit have been investigating the fatal collision on McLeod Road that occurred on January 27.
On March 5, police charged a 63-year-old man from Thorold with careless driving causing death.
Since this is a provincial offence rather than a Criminal Code offence, his name has not been released.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
